Twinning Jever-Cullera
Since 1998, our town, Cullera, has been twinned with the town of Jever in Lower Saxony, Germany. Also with Le Bourget in France. The concept of town twinning in Europe emerged shortly after World War II with the noble purpose of fostering bonds between European communities and promoting mutually beneficial projects. Since then, we have maintained periodic meetings between the citizens of the two localities, alternating between Cullera and Jever.
It is extremely rewarding to observe the strong bonds of friendship that have been forged and the hospitality with which each of our towns welcomes visitors. This initiative has left a profound mark on our hearts.
For our company, this exchange has been extremely fruitful, especially due to the great interest of the citizens of Jever in our oranges. In Germany, they greatly value the opportunity to purchase Valencian oranges that have not undergone post-harvest treatments and have been harvested at their peak ripeness. There is simply no comparison to what is found in supermarkets. Moreover, for the citizens of Jever, buying from a supplier they know personally adds additional value in terms of trust.
During September 2023, a delegation from Cullera had the privilege of visiting Jever. During this time, we strengthened our bonds, discussed proposals for the future, and, equally importantly, had a great time! The team that manages the company, composed of Vicent, Ruth, and Esther, got to experience the kindness and hospitality of Jever in person. We are thrilled at the opportunity to get to know our customers and be known by them, breaking down the distance that often comes with e-commerce.
We look forward to the visit of the Jever group to Cullera, so they can get a firsthand look at how our company operates and enjoy a tour of some of our orchards.
See you soon, Jever!
